Analysis of Cadmium in Liver
Monitoring of heavy metals in various foods is being continually updated with specified maximum allowable levels. Determination of Cadmium in liver is an example. Using a high sensitivity procedure, Cadmium was detectable in liver samples down to 7ppb; more than 100 times lower than the regulated maximum level. The equipment used included a special captive microwave vessel and ICP equipped with high sensitivity detector.
